About the dogschool
"John and Ria der Children from JR Center for Dogs in Reusel. Since 2000, we have been the proud owners of 't Kempisch Dierenpension, which was changed to the name JR Center for Dogs in 2018, in Reusel.
We stopped operating 't Kempisch Dierenpension, the shelter for dogs and cats, at the end of 2017. That is why we have changed our name to JR Center for Dogs.
Trainings
We have attended many training courses and lectures over the years. For example, we are both in possession of “the professional competence for dogs and cats”, “animal first aid”, “Training for nutritional advice from Royal Canin”. In addition to all that, Ria also completed the training of 'certified canine instructor' and also taught for a year at Kynotrain. Ria is also a certified behavioral therapist. We also continue to follow the necessary further training.
Shop
Since 1996 we have had a shop selling dog supplies, including toys, chews, leashes, food, etc. We have continued this in Reusel. Only over time has the shop grown from a small shop to a real dog shop . Here we sell three brands of dog food, namely JR Joint Support, Caro Croc and Casa Fera. JR Joint Support is a food for dogs that we have marketed ourselves. It has been specially developed for dogs with joint problems. We also have a very large range in the dog field. We have some of it on our webshop www.voordehond.nl.
Atelier
In 2002 we started our own workshop making various dog products. In the beginning we only made dog cushions, the JR Doggybed, in various colors and customization. We now also make all kinds of other items such as dog harnesses, leashes, small baskets and toys. Things are also made on request. We have also started making articles on our Laser/engraving machine where we, among other things, edit photos of dogs that people send to us. Such as vigilance signs, commemorative items, etc
Hydrotherapy
Since 2007 we have had a Hydrotherapeutic dog pool where we can let dogs with physical problems swim for rehabilitation. There is also a room where we can give treadmill therapy to the dogs. All this is of course done in collaboration with veterinarians.
Sales cart
We have also been taking our belongings to dog events at associations for many years. We attend shows, club matches, agility competitions and training events. We have a sales truck for this purpose . Because we were often asked whether the items could also be ordered on the internet, we decided to start an internet site so that we could also meet this wish.
Dog school
Since 2018 we have also started giving dog courses and workshops. We also have a puppy socialization area where breeders with litters of dogs can come. We teach in small groups but also individually.
