There is an Oscar Mayer Weinermobile on permanent display at the Henry Ford Museum of American Innovation located at 20900 Oakwood Blvd, Dearborn, MI 48124. There is a Mold-a-Rama machine that makes the Wienermobile near the vehicle. The information sign next to the display reads:
1952 Wienermobile
______________________________________________

In 1936, the Oscar Mayer Company began to promote their hot dogs on the streets of Chicago with the very first Wienermobile. The only 1952 model in its original design, the Wienermobile in our collection served as a prototype for Oscar Mayer's more recent 1988 felt. The Wienermobile reflects an innovative combination of transportation and product promotion that tbrings together two of American's greatest loves-cars and hot dogs. Can you sing the song?

1952 Wienermobile
Built by: Gerstenslager Company, Wooster, Ohio
Dog Chassis, 22 feet long

Carl Mayer, nephew of the company's namesake, created the first Oscar Mayer Wienermobile in 1936. In the years since, more than a dozen Wienermobiles have promoted the brand at stores, parades and festivals. Spokesman George Molchan, playing the character "Little Oscar," traveled with the Wienermobile from 1951 to 1987. Today the vehicles are accompanied by college interns known as "hotdoggers."-1952 Wienermobile
