Un joli square que j'ai découvert tout récemment. Vous ne pourrez pas le manquer avec sa grille d'entrée rouge et imposante. Vous y verrez une démonstration d'art urbain sur le thème de la musique. Au fond de ce square, un petit auditorium.

A pretty square that I discovered only recently. You can't miss it, with its imposing red entrance gate. You'll see an urban art demonstration on the theme of music. At the far end of the square is a small auditorium.

Plus que les peintures de street art, j'ai surtout remarqué le très joli fleurissement de ce square et j'ai bien aimé la grille en bois un peu ondulante peinte en bleu et blanc aux couleurs de la mer qui donne une tonalité très particulière à ce square. Les peintures sont plutôt bien exécutées mais trop "académiques". Le street art pour moi est avant tout une forme d'expression citoyenne, libre, politiquement incorrecte, fortement décalée et ... amusante.
Je n'ai pas retrouvé au Square Claude Duffit le plaisir de l'impertinence que procure l'art urbain. Il aurait été préférable d'aménager un jardin paysager dans cet espace qui paraît aujourd'hui très bétonné et où on n'a pas envie de s'éterniser.
La boîte à lecture est une bonne idée en soi mais à mon avis, plus symbolique qu'autre chose. La lecture à l'ancienne et même la lecture tout court, c'est bel et bien terminé à notre époque et parmi toutes les générations d'ailleurs.
Alors, en avant plutôt la culture ! En marche la lecture

More than the street art paintings, I especially noticed the very pretty flowering of this square, and I liked the slightly undulating wooden gate painted in blue and white in the colors of the sea, which gives a very special tone to this square. The paintings are rather well executed, but too "academic". For me, street art is above all a form of civic expression, free, politically incorrect, highly offbeat and... fun.
I didn't find the pleasure of impertinence that urban art provides in Square Claude Duffit. It would have been preferable to create a landscaped garden in this space, which today seems very concrete and where you don't want to linger.
The reading box is a good idea in itself, but in my opinion more symbolic than anything else. Old-fashioned reading, and even reading at all, is a thing of the past in this day and age, and across all generations.
So let's get on with culture! Let's get reading!
