"The new Trofa Saúde Group hospital has opened its doors in Valença do Minho after an investment of 10 million euros. It is expected to create more than a hundred new jobs when it is fully operational. The facilities were inaugurated last weekend and are located in the main square of the Concello, but it begins providing service as an outpatient clinic with more than 40 specialties in medical and surgical consultations. They have state-of-the-art diagnostic imaging equipment, from CT to MRI, X-rays, mammography, ultrasound, physiotherapy with a gym and an urgent care service.
The surgery and hospitalization part will open in a second phase. It will have two fully equipped rooms and the hospital will have a confinement area with 16 rooms and 28 beds. The Trofa Saúde Group has 17 hospitals, 15 of them located in the north of Portugal and employ more than 5,000 people."
