On social network called Jodel, was posted threat to shoot and kill people on local mall. It was posted as anonymous. To be safe, the police sent patrols to two malls; Sittkoff Galleria and Maxinge. Luckily nothing happened. However, the incident frightened people. Åland has the fewest crimes in Finland. The island group is considered a really safe place.
The police received many tips about this crime, but the culprit was not found. Many newspaper and radiostation covered these crime news. Pictures were released where police was in Sittkoff Galleria, on Mariehamn center.
