The Peanut Shoppe is located in downtown Charleston at 126 Capitol St, Charleston, WV 25301 on the corner of Capitol and Quarrier Streets.

"The Peanut Shoppe was established in September 1950 by Delbert Moore. Mr. Moore was originally from Daybrook, WV which is around Morgantown. He was also well known for being a Charleston police officer whom walked the beat in downtown. Mr. Moore also established a Peanut Shoppe in Morgantown on High Street.

In 1986 Mr. Moore passed away and left the shoppe to his beloved wife Tillie Moore. She owned and operated the shoppe for more than 20 years. She worked in the shoppe along side her daughter Debra Kimble. Tillie worked part time until she was in her late 80’s. She was loved and well known for her big heart and infectious smile." - Peanut Shoppe website linked below
