FHRA Finnish Hot Rod Association on järjestänyt jo pitkään Malmin lentokentällä Cruising Pre-party tapahtumia. Näissä sadat, lähinnä Amerikan autojen harrastajat tuovat autonsa esille ja myöhemmin illalla lähtevät Cruising ajeluille eripuolelle pääkaupunkiseutua. Kyseessä on suurin autotapahtuma Suomessa. Edustettuina on omilla osastollaan esimerkiksi Ford Mustang, Chevrolet, Cadillac omistajat. Eurooppalaisista autoista lähinnä Porschen yksilöitä voi nähdä. Paikalle voi kokoontua jopa 400 autoa. Vuonna 2024 kokoontumisajojen jatkuminen on epävarma alueen muuttuessa tulevien vuosien aikana asuinalueeksi. Itse osallistuin heinäkuun 2023 Pre-Partyyn ja varsinaiseen cruising tapahtumaan.
FHRA Finnish Hot Rod Association has been organizing Cruising Pre-party events at Malmi Airport for a long time. In these, hundreds of mostly American car enthusiasts bring their cars out and later in the evening go on Cruising drives across the capital region. This is the biggest car event in Finland. Ford Mustang, Chevrolet, Cadillac owners are represented in their own sections, for example. Among the European cars, you can see mostly Porsche models. Up to 400 cars can gather there. In 2024, the continuation of this event is uncertain as the area will become a residential area in the coming years. I myself participated in the July 2023 Pre-Party and the actual cruising event.
