Korean War Memorial - Stockholm, Sweden - Korean War Memorials on Waymarking.com

A granite memorial stone with a Swedish and a Korean flag, as well as a small sign with text in Swedish, Korean and English. The memorial stones were unveiled on 2019-06-15 by the President of South Korea and HN the King of Sweden. This happened on the 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations between South Korea and Sweden.
The metal sign was previously located on a building in the Police High School in Sörentorp.
The memorial is located at Nobelstranden. There are also several other memorial stones in the area.



Text in Swedish and English:
The Swedish Korea Ambulance was organized and equipped in this building when it was sent to Korea in August 1950 to provide aid and care to the victims of the war under the UN flag. This plaque commemorates the humanitarian efforts of Swedish men and women during this war, which lasted from 25 June 1950 to 27 July 1953.
