This bench mark is located on the end pillar of Houndtor Ridge woods bridge over the Becka brook. It is shown on the 1888 OS map of Devon and the height was measured at 311.9ft above sea level. (GPS reading was taken 25 yds to South of bridge as signal not good in woods)
