PT: "Alminhas construídas no séc.

EN: "Alminhas built in the 19th century. 20, with a very simple structure and no decorative concerns. It has a rectangular plan and parallelepiped structure, in exposed stonework, with a niche in a perfect round arch, with a projecting frame, closed by a grilled door, adapted to the profile of the arch and having a semicircular opening at the bottom to facilitate access to the alms box, located at the base. of the niche. Inside, painted white and with a barrel-vaulted roof, it houses a panel of polychrome tiles, signed by Granini A. Grais, the same as the Alminhas on the collar of the Coroada ravelin (v. IPA.00022998), which have, on the However, much more elaborate structure. On the tile panel, Our Lady of Mount Carmel is represented in the center, crowned, holding the scapular in her right hand and, in her left, the Child, enveloped in resplendence; inferiorly, two angels rescue Almas from the flames and, in the lower right corner, there is the painter's inscription. Over the arch of the niche there are iron structures to support and support the lamp."
