Para ello, actuamos sobre elementos fundamentales de su entorno como son el bienestar de sus familias, el acceso al empleo y la cobertura de sus necesidades básicas (alimentación, salud, ocio y tiempo libre).
YMCA es un movimiento mundial de personas que se unen por el compromiso compartido de fortalecer, acompañar y dar herramientas a los jóvenes para que, con ellos y desde ellos, mejore la sociedad. Actualmente está presente en 120 países y ayuda a 58 millones de personas. YMCA España es parte de World YMCA y de YMCA Europe. Cada una de las YMCA locales, nacionales o federales se funda habitualmente por iniciativa de personas de la propia localidad, respondiendo a las necesidades de cada comunidad. Eso hace que YMCA sea enormemente heterogénea con variaciones de un país a otro en lo referente a los programas que desarrolla e incluso a su logotipo.
