Postage stamp of Sund's church, the largest stone church on the Aland Islands. The stamp is drawn and shows the church from the entrance side. It is from 1994 and has a value of 2 Euro.
The drawing is not quite correct, which you can see at the gate to the cemetery in relation to the church. In reality, they are placed differently in relation to each other, so the artist has adjusted a little. It is completely impossible to take a photo similar to the stamp.

Sund's church is Aland's largest stone church and was built in the latter part of the 13th century.

Sund's church is surrounded by a cemetery and is located by the lake Västra Kyrksundet. The nearest village is Sundby. The building style of the church is very similar to the churches on Gotland. The church was extended in several stages. In the 1300s, the church tower was extended.

Inside the church you can see several church paintings from the 14th century depicting various saints.
