This is the tower of the Catholic Church on Gorée Island.
It is very simple, square and closed. Inside it houses the original bell which I doubt that it works.
I find it curious that the bell tower is not on the front and main facade.

EN: "This church is slightly more recent than that of Saint-Louis. The foundation stone was laid on April 11, 1828, the feast day of Charles X, King of France. The building was placed under the patronage of Saint-Charles Borromée (1538-1584), Archbishop of Wilan and patron saint of the island of Gorée. The church was completed in 1830 and consecrated in 1849. An ancient polychrome wooden statue of Saint-Charles, made in the 19th century by a local craftsman, can be seen in the historical museum. St. Charles' Day is celebrated every year on November 4, and includes a ceremony to bless the sea. With its sober architecture, the church houses several treasures, including a beautiful cast-iron staircase leading to the mezzanine. There is also a crucifix, candlesticks and paintings donated in 1841 by Queen Marie-Amélie, wife of Louis-Philippe. The painting above the altar depicts St. Charles Borromeo praying in the forecourt of Milan Cathedral during the plague of 1576."
