"Nordsee GmbH (formerly Nordsee Fischspezialitaten GmbH) operates a fast food restaurant chain with a focus on fish and seafood under the name Nordsee. It originated from the fresh fish trade, which was supplemented by salads and fish rolls (e.g. with fish cakes as Bremer). Later, grilled, steamed and fried fish, fish nuggets and similar snacks and wraps were also added to the range.

Nordsee's branch structure is divided into the three areas of snack (375 locations), restaurant (374 locations) and sea buffet (167 locations), which are often combined in one branch (as of 2020)."
