This beach is ranked as one of the 10 best in Senegal, and I can attest to that.
It is beautiful, large, golden sand and turquoise blue waters.
The beach is public, but the hotels are in charge of the area of sun loungers and umbrellas, and citizens who have free transit on the beach, can move but not climb.
I was in the area of the Hotel Riu Baobab, and there was no surveillance, but there was cleaning of algae and plastics.
Plastic is a problem in Senegal, and it is not uncommon to see guests taking plastic out of the sea, as the Senegalese are not ecologically conscious and throw everything into the sea.
