The Copan building is one of Sao Paulo's famous landmarks. It was designed by Oscar Niemeyer(who also designed Brasilia and the UN building in New York) in the 1950s. The main attraction of the building is the S-shape curve in it. Below the mini-mall are more than 1000 apartment building.

-It's 40 stories high and 140 meter tall.
-The name comes from the Mayan temple in Honduras.

-According to IBGE, a major research institute in Brazil, the building has a larger population than 547 cities in the country.
-The Guinness Book of World Records also claims this building has the largest floor area of any residential structure in the world and it's the largest Brazilian structure.
-A roadblock in Season 9 of The Amazing Race took part at the Copan Building.
