En el año 1936 en plena guerra civil, las tropas republicanas incendiaron la iglesia, quemando obras de arte y objetos de incalculable valor, como el cuerpo de la Beata Ines que se encontraba en una tumba en el interior de la iglesia.
In 1936, in the midst of the civil war, the Republican troops set fire to the church, burning works of art and objects of incalculable value, such as the body of Blessed Ines that was found in a tomb inside the church.
