In front of the Evangelical Church in Bistrita is a Biblioteca Stradala
(Street Library). On top of the cupboard there is a Coat of Arms of the
Municipality of Bistrita, a logo of "Poarta Transilvaniei Bistrita" and a Lions
International logo with the name of the city of "Bistrita" and the slogan "We
Serve!". According to
their website they provided 165 books to the various libraries.
The cupboard has four shelves and is filled with several books, mostly in
Romanian language of course. The are some rules noted on the outside:
Regulations
- If you have books in your personal library that you
would like to share, a donation is welcome.
- Use of books is free, return is mandatory
- Books should be treated with care... and so should
the library.
- The library program is NON-STOP.
- Choose your book, read it, return it.
- In exchange for the borrowed book you can leave
another book until the return.
- There is no fixed return date, it will be honestly
appreciated by each reader.
- By keeping the borrowed books in good condition you
give them to others to enjoy.

Close to the cupboard are several benches, so one can sit down and
read for a while.
