This flower market is located on the Singel canal between the Koningsplein and the Muntplein Streets in Amsterdam.
According to different sources, this particular place served as market since 1862.
In its early days over 140 years ago, Bloemenmarkt welcomed hundreds of boats full of plants and flowers for sale every day. The Dutch taste for flowers has never been lost over time.
Today, one hardly notices that it is a floating market since it is installed on very well fixed platforms and barges, along the Singel Canal.
At the Flower Market, you can find all types of flowers: tulips of all colors, seeds of a wide variety of plants and gardening items.
