This painted wooden statue is placed to the left of the entrance door of the Hotel Riu Santa Fe.
It is on a stone pedestal.
It has the classic attire, with the cap and sandals and with angel wings. In his hand he holds the cane.

Saint Gabriel the Archangel
"This Archangel is named several times in the S. Bible. He was the one who announced to the prophet Daniel the time in which the Redeemer would arrive. Thus the prophet says: "Gabriel appeared to me from God and told me: within seventy weeks of years (that is, 490 years) the Holy of Holies will appear" (Dan. 9).

The Archangel Saint Gabriel was entrusted with the highest mission that has ever been entrusted to any creature: to announce the incarnation of the Son of God. That is why he is venerated much since ancient times.

His letter of introduction when he appeared to Zacharias to announce that he was going to have John the Baptist as a son was this: "I am Gabriel, the one who is in the presence of God" (Luc. 1, 19).

Saint Luke says: "The angel Gabriel was sent by God to a city in Galilee, to a virgin named Mary, and coming to her, he said to her: 'Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with you.' She was troubled to hear that greeting, but the angel said to her: 'Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found grace before God. You are going to conceive a son whom you will name Jesus. He will be the Son of the Most High and his Kingdom will have no end.'"

Saint Gabriel is the patron saint of communications and communicators, because he brought the most beautiful news to the world: that the Son of God became a man."
