El santuario mariano de Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe es un santuario nacional de la Iglesia católica dedicado a la Virgen de Guadalupe, situado en la zona de Gustavo A. Madero de Ciudad de México, México. Madero de la Ciudad de México, México, en el cerro del Tepeyac, donde se cree que tuvieron lugar las apariciones marianas de 1531.
En el santuario, la Basílica de Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe exhibe la túnica de Juan Diego Cuauhtlatoatzin, en la que se dice que quedó impresa la imagen de la Virgen María tras su aparición. Desde 1531, se han construido capillas e iglesias cada vez más grandes para acoger a los peregrinos. Las más importantes son las dos últimas construidas con este fin: la "gran iglesia barroca" conocida como Basílica Vieja y Templo Expiatorio de Cristo Rey, construida en 1709 y que ha sido objeto de varias fases de reparación-restauración, y la basílica actual, construida en 1976 para sustituir a la anterior.
Varios Papas han visitado el lugar para celebraciones especiales, congregando a millones de fieles. En la actualidad, casi 20 millones de peregrinos visitan cada año la Basílica de Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe (casi la mitad de ellos en los días previos al 12 de diciembre, fiesta de la Virgen de Guadalupe), lo que la convierte en el lugar de peregrinación católica más visitado después de la Ciudad del Vaticano.

The Marian Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe is a national shrine of the Catholic Church dedicated to the Virgin of Guadalupe, located in the Gustavo A. Madero area of Mexico City, Mexico. Madero of Mexico City, Mexico, on the hill of Tepeyac, where the Marian apparitions of 1531 are believed to have taken place.
At the shrine, the Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe displays the tunic of Juan Diego Cuauhtlatoatzin, on which the image of the Virgin Mary is said to have been imprinted after her apparition. Since 1531, increasingly larger chapels and churches have been built to welcome pilgrims. The most important are the last two built for this purpose: the "great baroque church" known as the Old Basilica and Expiatory Temple of Christ the King, built in 1709 and which has undergone several phases of repair-restoration, and the present basilica, built in 1976 to replace the previous one.
Several Popes have visited the site for special celebrations, gathering millions of faithful. Today, nearly 20 million pilgrims visit the Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe each year (almost half of them in the days leading up to December 12, the feast of the Virgin of Guadalupe), making it the most visited Catholic pilgrimage site after Vatican City.
