The Groen grave in the cememtery in Muiderberg is a Dutch National Monument: (visit link)

"The grave marker for the Groen van Waarder family is located on the former Lutheran family cemetery on the Badlaan in Muiderberg. The family grave was established in 1882 by order of the Groen van Waarder family. The foot of the national monument was signed by D. Weegewijs of stonemasonry Rapenburg. The grave is located north of the central path, which is flanked by trees. The inscriptions indicate that the last interment took place in 1969.
There are many forms of symbolism on the plinth plate. On the south side are crossed palm fronds (victory over death), which are held together by a tail-biting serpent (ouroboros, infinity); On the east side, the winged hourglass refers to transient time. The butterfly symbolizes the immortal soul. The resurrection on the north side is symbolized as the inverted flaming torch crossed with the scythe (inexorable death).

The white marble urn with mourning veil symbolizes the covering of life. The dogs on the base of the monument are a symbol of loyalty"
