Greg Barton Circle is located at 100 N Hillsdale St, Homer, MI 49245. It is a circle intersection of Hillsdale Street and Main Street and on a stone in the center is a plaque dedicated to the Olympic efforts of Greg Barton. Greg is a sprint kayaker who won four Olympic medals total with two of them being gold at the 1988 Seoul Games.

Greg was born in nearby Jackson, Michigan before moving to Homer during training. He attended the University of Michigan and competed in the 1984 Los Angeles, 1988 Seouls, and 1992 Barcelona games getting at least one medal in all 3.
