The compact site is freely accessible just a few yards across flat ground from Route 116/West Greenville Road with ample parking spots and a sidewalk.
The stone is embedded about one-third of its diameter in the ground and stands on edge. In particular, the millstone is dedicated to Scituate's Revolutionary Patriots as described on a brass plaque attached to the eastern face:
