This cornerstone is at Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church, located on the corner of Superior Avenue (Route 6) and East 41st Street in Cleveland, Ohio. The parish was founded in May of 1865, and construction on the current church building was begun in 1873. The cornerstone, on the southwest corner of the building, has the following inscription:

Nisi dominus aedificaverit domum,
in vanum laboraverunt qui aedificant eam. PS 126The Right Reverend Richard Gilmour was the second Bishop of Cleveland from 1872 until his death in 1891. The Right Reverend Ignatius F. Horstmann was the third bishop of Cleveland from 1891 until his death in 1908.
The Latin text on the cornerstone is from the first verse of Psalm 126, which can be translated as, "Unless the Lord build the house, they labour in vain that build it."
