This memorial celebrates 100 years of service of the DAR: 1895 - 1995, though the dates are inconsistent.

This little memorial is found on the east side of the Colorado State Capitol building. It is interesting to note that the memorial cites the dates of 1895-1995, whereas the DAR site states:

"The National Society Daughters of the American Revolution was founded on October 11, 1890, during a time that was marked by a revival in patriotism and intense interest in the beginnings of the United States of America. .... (from (visit link) )

That makes a five year discrepancy. The organization was incorporated by the US Congress in 1896, so there is a one year incongruity. The math does not work with either date.
