The installation piece by Salvador Dalí "The Face of Mae West Which Can Be Used as an Apartment" is presented in its own gallery at the Dalí Theatre-Museum in Figueres, Girona, Spain.

In 1934, Dalí took a newspaper photograph of Mae West and re-imagined it as collage of an apartment. Decades later, he used that piece as the basis to build an actual room. He created a love seat from her lips, turned her nose into a fireplace, and used a pair of abstract landscape images to represent her eyes. A gigantic blonde wig -- at one time, made from actual human hair -- is the doorway which frames the components when standing directly across from the opposite wall. (Source: MinniMuse)
