As with many historic sites in China, the main observing platform has been restored to be as it once appeared. At its summit are several instruments for recording the positions of celestial objects. These instruments are quite intricate and beautiful in their design. On the grounds at the base of the platform you will find some displays, including several impressive armillary spheres supported by dragons.
