NL Tijdens een bezoek aan Blijdorp zag ik een mooi bord bij de entree van het verblijf van de wallaby’s. Pas op, overstekende Wallaby’s! Je kan zelf door het verblijf lopen en de wallaby’s kunnen inderdaad over het pad lopen. Leuk om te doen.

De moeraswallabies hebben in hun nieuwe verblijf (2011) de beschikking gekregen over zandbunkers en schuilplekken. Vanaf het slingerpad, dwars door het verblijf, staat de bezoeker oog in oog met de kangoeroes, alleen maar gescheiden door een voethekje. Langs de buitenrand zijn nieuwe kijkplekken gemaakt.

ENG During a visit to Blijdorp I saw a nice sign at the entrance of the enclosure of the wallabies. Watch out, crossing Wallabies! You can walk through the enclosure yourself and the wallabies can indeed walk on the path. Fun to do.

In their new enclosure (2011), the swamp wallabies have access to sand bunkers and shelters. From the winding path, right through the enclosure, the visitor comes face to face with the kangaroos, separated only by a foot gate. New viewing spots have been created along the outer edge.
