Our Lady of Divine Providence Church was inaugurated in 1989 on the island of Providenciales in Turks and Caicos. The Mission on Grand Turk, the nation's capital had its first baptism in 1967 so it took some time for the religion to spread to this northern area.
Our Lady of Divine Providence celebrated its first Sacrament of Confirmation in 1998. Today it is a multi-ethnic parish serving the needs of the local community with mass attendance reaching nearly 1000 strong which necessitated the building of this new church in 2011. with a sweeping roofline from which a steeple rises at one point. There is a pyramid shaped skylight with a golden cross atop it. It allows sunlight into the interior and onto a beautiful central marble altar.
