This house is located on Rastro de San Francisco, currently block 2 of Áncash jirón.

From colonial times to the 19th century, businesses related to ranching and the sale of butter were located in this house.

To the right of this house were located the properties that belonged to Doña Emilia Echevarría widow of Bueno and Virginia Echevarría widow of Pazos. On the left and back was the farm of Francisco Mendoza y Barreda. This property would have been part of a larger estate.

In 1960 this house was registered as the property of the brothers Manuel Alfonso and Herminia Pérez Méndez.

The house has been known as the "House of the eclectic balcony", for having a continuous balcony of thirteen bodies in a modern style on its façade.

After undergoing a restoration process within the Manzana del Rastro project, it was reopened in 2009.

During the restoration work, it was possible to preserve the interior environments and the arches and doorways were recovered. Source: the translation of the following link (visit link)
