This "You Are Here" map is part of an information board located inside one of the Great Siege tunnels open to the public in Gibraltar.

The information board reads: "The Fork - This point marks the extent of the tunnel constructed by the end of The Great Siege as well as being the point at which you should turn around if your visiting time is limited.
Although there is much more to see, including detailed information about events during the Great Seat and the use of the tunnels during the Second World War, you may require another 30 to 45 minutes in order to do this. Visitors should also note that from here on the gradient becomes steeper and that some visitors may find the climb back quite tiring.
The evidence seems to suggest that the tunnellers also paused to reassess things at this point.
They may have been trying to decide upon the right direction and angle since there appear to be two 'abandoned' passages and also the tunnel suddenly becomes much steeper from this point on.
Eventually they followed a natural fault in the rock (which can be seen forming the right-hand side of the passage) and this must have made their work considerably easier."
