Its name is due to the fact that on the inside it preserves the image of the Holy Face. Of careful but small proportions, it is made up of a semicircular arch with extraordinarily elongated voussoirs, typical of Muslim constructions, although there is divergence about its time of construction among historians who attribute it to Roman origin.
