Este monumento, obra del escultor local Ursicino Martínez, está ubicado en el centro de la Plaza de Cervantes de la capital palentina. Representa un cañón que cambia las balas por el agua (que caer en una peana de ornigón, conviertiendo este monumento en una fuente ornamental ya que el agua es no potabl), de forma que unas palomas se posan en él.
Los pájaros son pasto de los gamberros que pasan por allí y el ayuntamiento de vez en cuando repone las palomas.

This monument, the work of local sculptor Ursicino Martínez, is located in the center of the Plaza de Cervantes in the capital of Palencia. It represents a cannon that exchanges bullets for water (which falls on an ornigon base, turning this monument into an ornamental fountain since the water is non-potable), so that some doves perch on it.
The birds are eaten by the hooligans who pass by and the town hall occasionally replaces the pigeons.
