DE: Wenn man von Osten kommend über die L130 nach Wacken fährt, begrüßen einen kurz hinter dem Ortseingangsschild auf einem Feld stehend die etwa 2m hohen Buchstaben mit dem Namen der Stadt. Eingerahmt werden die etwa 30cm dicken Buchstaben aus rostigem Corten-Stahl durch zwei ebenfalls aus Cortenstahl hergestellte Stierschädel von 2,5m Höhe. Aufgestellt wurden die Buchstaben zum 25. Wacken Open Air im Jahr 2014.

EN: If you are coming from the east on the L130 to Wacken, you will be greeted by the approximately 2m high letters with the name of the city just behind the town entrance sign. The approximately 30 cm thick letters made of rusty CorTen steel are framed by two bull skulls, also made of CorTen steel, which are 2.5 m high. The letters were set up for the 25th Wacken Open Air in 2014.
