En el acto de inauguración estuvieron presentes diferentes autoridades de la ciudad, representantes de los distintos colectivos sociales y culturales, miembros de las peñas taurinas y novilleros locales, entre otras personas.

La iniciativa ha sido realizada por la Delegación Municipal de Obras y Urbanismo, que ha actuado en la zona para eliminar el socavón que existía en ese lugar y para ello se han utilizado fondos del Plan ‘Proteja’.
