When looking at this structure, A vintage Gas Station can be easily recognized by its shape and the old temperature meter next to the door.
When looking at the whole structure I assume it was once part of a vehicle service station.
I consulted three separate contacts in Edersee, including the current neighbour, and 2 tourist information offices. I got 2 responses. Two were not able to provide clear information. One tourist office responded in the local, German, language:
"Bis 1974 war das eine Fina Tankstelle und wurde von Karl Wiegand betrieben.
Alte Bilder habe wir leider nicht."
