Ushuaia is the southernmost city in the world, capital of the province of Tierra del Fuego. Its name comes from the Yámana language and means "bay that faces the west".
The 2.5 m high wooden panel is decorated with flowers and birds with a central image representing Ushuaia with small white houses with black roofs with the sea and boats in the foreground and mountains, some snow-capped, in background. It reads: "Ushuaia fin del mondo" due to its location as the southernmost city in the world.
