Kleine Twentse boerderij brievenbus - Themed Homemade Mailboxes on Waymarking.com

Deze bijzondere brievenbus staat voor een originele oude Twentse boerderij.
Het is een exacte kopie van het oorspronkelijke huis.
Later is het huis vergroot en is er een stuk voor het huis aangebouwd dat nog veel lijkt op de oorspronkelijke boerderij.
Wat er veranderd is de voordeur die bij de brievenbus nog aan de voorkant van het huis te zien is.
De brievenbus is met veel details gemaakt van echte baksteentjes. Bijzonder detail is het geveltopteken op de nok de brievenbus die je ook op de nok van het huis terug ziet. Dit is een traditie die bij veel oude Twentse boerderijen nog voorkomt.
De brievenbus staat op een gemetselde paal net als de twee pilaren waar het hek bij de ingang naar het huis aan is bevestigd.

This special mailbox stands for an original old Twente farmhouse.
It is an exact copy of the original house.
The house was later enlarged and a part was added in front of the house that still resembles the original farm.
What has changed is the front door that can still be seen at the front of the house near the mailbox.
The mailbox is made of real bricks with many details. A special detail is the gable sign on the ridge of the letterbox, which you can also see on the ridge of the house. This is a tradition that still occurs at many old farms in Twente.
The mailbox is on a masonry post, as are the two pillars that hold the gate at the entrance to the house.
