Middle Bridge is the first public covered bridge built by the state of Vermont since 1889. It replaced an 1877 iron bridge that was condemned in 1966. It was built near the river by Milton Graton and then pulled across the Ottauquechee River by a team of two oxen in July 1969. (visit link)
