On Meloneras walk promenade you will find few columns with plaque that states Maspalomas is Rotary City of Peace. It took a while to understand what this means. Local Rotary organizes yearly Peace Day and camp for youths with international peace organizations and speakers. Age limit for this Peace Camp is 18-25 years.
The place is also known as amphitheater of Faro. It forms half a square where you can sit between columns. Made of light color stone. You have great view to Atlantic ocean on top of steps. Opposite side, on promenade is another Peace releated sculpture and sign.

El 21 de septiembre de 2017, Día Internacional de la Paz, se colocó la primera piedra del monumento conmemorativo del Rotario Ciudad de la Paz en Maspalomas.
On September 21, 2017, the International Day of Peace, the first stone was laid for the memorial monument of the Maspalomas Rotary City of Peace.
