Riga International Airport (visit link) is the largest Airport in Latvia. It is about 10 km from the airport to Riga, the capital of Latvia. Latvian national carrier airBaltic is the largest airline serving the airport.

The airport was built in 1973 and was renovated in 2001. There is a 3200 m long runway which is in direction 18/36.

The airport has a single, two-story passenger terminal building.
On the top floor there is a security area, some shops and 36 check-in desks.
On the ground floor there is the arrivals area, baggage claim and some service desks.
