El Monumento a los Scouts de Alcañiz se alza actualmente en la ribera del río Guadalope en la zona trasera del Instituto y muy cerca del puente de la Plaza de toros de la ciudad.

Fue realizado en el año 1986 con ocasión del XXV Aniversario de la fundación del Grupo y ubicado en la Glorieta donde permaneció bastantes años hasta su traslado a las riberas del Guadalope con ocasión de la remodelación del Parque que alberga la conocida “fuente de los 72 caños”. Fue realizado por el maestro albañil Jesús Moreno García y un artesano de la forja local.
El Monumento está constituido por un monolito de piedra donde se han fijado en una de sus caras laterales dos elementos en hierro: la silueta de una paloma y el símbolo del escultismo (una flor de lis enmarcada en una cuerda anudada), movimiento creado por el militar británico Baden Powell en 1907.
En el frontal del monolito tres carteles de madera clavados con la leyenda SCOUTS DE ESPAÑA y dos placas, la que corresponde al XXV Aniversario y otra más reciente, con ocasión del 50 Aniversario de la creación del Grupo.
En la placa original leemos lo siguiente: “Scouts de España Aragón. A todos los que, unidos por la paz, trabajan por un mundo nuevo. A la ciudad de Alcañiz en el XXV Aniversario del Grupo Scout 227 Santa María de Alcañiz. 27 de abril de 1986”
El 24 de marzo de 2012 fue colocada la conmemorativa del 50 Aniversario donde leemos:”1962-2012. 50 Aniversario Grupo 227 Scouts Santa María. 50 Aniversario Alcañiz, a 24 de marzo de 2012”.

It was made by the master mason Jesús Moreno García and a craftsman from the local forge.
The Monument is made up of a stone monolith where two iron elements have been fixed on one of its lateral faces: the silhouette of a dove and the symbol of scouting (a fleur de lis framed by a knotted rope), a movement created by the British military Baden Powell in 1907.
On the front of the monolith three wooden signs nailed with the legend SCOUTS OF SPAIN and two plaques, the one corresponding to the XXV Anniversary and another more recent one, on the occasion of the 50th Anniversary of the creation of the Group.
On the original plaque we read the following: “Scouts of Spain Aragon. To all those who, united by peace, work for a new world. To the city of Alcañiz on the XXV Anniversary of the Scout Group 227 Santa María de Alcañiz. April 27, 1986”
