Bourke's Luck Potholes is one of the most phenomenal geological phenomenon in South Africa, Mpumalanga, South Africa.

At the confluence of the Treur River and the Blyde Rive, the erosion of the flowing water in the red sandstone has created a canyon that merges into the Blyde River Canyon. Further erosion, particularly the movement of rocks in whirlpools, has carved deep whirlpool holes and cauldrons into the bedrock.

The attraction is named for prospector Tom Bourke, who found a small amount of gold on the site (although the associated gold vein was off his claim). But he correctly predicted that large gold deposits would be found in the area.

The Visitor Information Center details some of the interesting natural and socio-historical features of Bourke's Luck Potholes and houses a model of the Blyde River Canyon. It is the starting point of the 700 m walk to the potholes.

The coordinates were taken at the visitor center.
