Literature Street (Lithuanian: Literatu gatve) is a small street where the walls are decorated with works of art dedicated to various authors.
The walls with the artworks were started in 2009 in connection with Vilnius' efforts as European Capital of Culture. Originally it was intended as a temporary project, but the great interest in the artworks has now made it permanent and over 200 authors are represented.
The artworks are very different and very creative.
Literatau Street has become one of the most visited places in the Old Town of Vilniuis.
