Hala Arena to hala widowiskowo-sportowa w Poznaniu, znajdująca się w Parku Kasprowicza w dzielnicy Łazarz. Budowana przez 2 lata zostala otwarta w 1974 roku, a jej operatorem są obecnie Międzynaradowe Targi Poznańskie (MTP). Projekt hali był dziełem zespołu pod nadzorem Jerzego Turzenieckiego.
Budowla robi spore wrażenie - zarówno z perspektywy przechodnia jak i z lotu ptaka. Jej forma przypomina statek kosmiczny, który został przymocowany do gruntu za pomocą ogromnych filarów. Dach jest miejscami uniesiony w stylu "Googie", a pod nim znajdują się ogromne szklane okna. Schemat wnętrza przedstawia szkic poniżej.
Charakterystyka budowli
"Kształt hali (odwrócony spodek) przypomina Mały Pałac Sportowy zbudowany w Rzymie w 1958 roku. Od ok. 2007 r. planowana jest jej modernizacja, jednak prace odsuwane są regularnie na późniejszy termin. Dach kopuły pokryty jest blachą aluminiową barwioną na złocisty kolor. Hala posiada 4200 miejsc siedzących na trybunach. Arena jest dostosowana do organizowania imprez sportowych, koncertów, przedstawień i seansów filmowych. Pod trybunami znajdują się bufet, kawiarnia, szatnie i garderoby, sauna, sala do rozgrzewki i zaplecze sanitarne. Hala jest przystosowana dla potrzeb osób niepełnosprawnych. W niej odbywają się popularne wydarzenia: Independance, RMI Trance Xplosion, Revolution, Dancetination, czy ATB in Concert, Armin Only. W Arenie odbył się również pożegnalny koncert Pidżamy Porno. Od kilku lat w poznańskiej Arenie organizowane są także mecze w ramach siatkarskiej Ligi Światowej. W 2009 halę odwiedziły też najlepsze reprezentacje w koszykówce, aby rozegrać mecze w ramach Mistrzostw Europy."

Arena Hall is a sports and entertainment hall in Poznan, located in Kasprowicz Park in the Łazarz district. Built for 2 years, it was opened in 1974, and is now operated by the Poznań International Fair (MTP). The design of the hall was the work of a team under the supervision of Jerzy Turzeniecki.
The building is quite impressive - both from the perspective of a passerby and from a bird's eye view. Its form resembles a spaceship, which has been fixed to the ground by huge pillars. The roof is raised "Googie" style in places, and there are huge glass windows underneath. A diagram of the interior is shown in the sketch below.
Characteristics of the building
"The shape of the hall (an inverted saucer) is reminiscent of the Little Sports Palace built in Rome in 1958. Its modernization has been planned since around 2007, but the work is regularly postponed. The roof of the dome is covered with aluminum sheets tinted in a golden color. The arena has 4,200 seats in the stands. The arena is suitable for sports events, concerts, performances and movie screenings. Under the stands are a buffet, a cafeteria, locker rooms and dressing rooms, a sauna, a warm-up room and sanitary facilities. The hall is adapted for the disabled. It hosts popular events: Independance, RMI Trance Xplosion, Revolution, Dancetination, or ATB in Concert, Armin Only. The Arena was also the venue for Pidżama Porno's farewell concert. For several years, Poznań Arena has also hosted matches in the Volleyball World League. In 2009, the hall was also visited by the best national basketball teams to play matches in the European Championships."
