[FIN] Paimion kotiseutumuseon kokoelmiin kuuluu erityyppisiä vanhoja rakennuksia. Yksi niistä on tämä vanha vilja-aitta. Sen edessä olevassa opastaulussa lukee: "Vilja-aitan lahjoitti Paimion kaupungille Maatalouskerho-opisto vuonna 1949. Se tuotiin Kalevalta, Taatilan Uudestatuvasta Pieniä vilja-aittoja on tarvittu talossa useita, ja niissä on säilötty esimerkiksi siemen- ja rehuviljaa. Aitta on kylmänä ja eristämättömänä rakennuksena hyvin kestävä, eikä Suomen vanhoilla maatiloilla ole harvinaista nähdä 300-400 vuoden ikäisiäkään aittoja."
Harmaantuneesta vanhasta puusta tehty aitta, joka nousee rakenteensa vuoksi ylös korkealle maanpinnasta on mielestäni hieno rakennus. Näissä vilja-aitoissa näkee usein ettei niiden lattia ole aivan tiivis. Sanotaan että sen vuoksi ne tuulettuvat ja vilja ei pääse homehtumaan. Voi olla että hiirillä on juhlat aitan alla!
Tässä aitassa on erikoisuutena nk vellikello. Sitä soittamalla on saatu talon väki saapumaan syömään ruoka-aikana. Tuo vellikello ei ole kovin suuri, mutta oikein hauska yksityiskohta.
Tätä aittaa on ilmeisesti restauroitu. Sen paljastaa muutamat erinäköiset hirret sen seinissä mitä muut ovat. Katto on nk paanukatto, jota täytyy myös uusia vuosien varrella.
Aitta sijaitsee rinteessä. Se vaatii taitoa sen sijoittamisessa ja alla olevien kookkaiden tukkien valinnassa ettei aitta romahda. Se on kohotettu maasta arviolta 60-100 cm verran.
Huomaa kuinka pieni vilja-aitan oviaukko on. Siitä on kookkaan ihmisen vaikea mahtua sisään. Ovessa näkyy olevan lukko.

[EN] The Paimio Homeland Museum's collections include different types of old buildings. One of them is this old granary. The guide board in front of it reads: "The grain barn was donated to the town of Paimio by the Maatalouskerho-opisto in 1949. It was brought from Kaleva, Taatilan's Uusitupa village. Several small grain barns have been needed in the house, and they have stored, for example, seed and feed grains. The barn is a cold and uninsulated building very durable, and on old farms in Finland it is not uncommon to see barns that are 300-400 years old."
A shed made of gray old wood, which rises high above the ground because of its structure, is a great building in my opinion. In these grain sheds, you can often see that their floor is not quite tight. It is said that because of that they are ventilated and the grain does not get moldy. Maybe the mice are having a party under the floor!
This barn has a special feature, the so-called porridge bell. By playing it, the people of the house have been made to come to eat at mealtime. That bell is not very big, but a really fun detail.
This shed has apparently been restored. It is revealed by a few different-looking wooden logs in the walls of what the others are. The roof is a so-called shingle roof, which also needs to be renewed over the years.
The shed is located on a slope. It requires skill in placing it and selecting the large logs below so that the shed does not collapse. It is raised from the ground approximately 60-100 cm.
Notice how small the granary door opening is. It is difficult for a large person to fit inside. There is a lock on the door.
