"Preserved for centuries, the Poldras de Chaves continue to be, nowadays, an obligatory visit point. Halfway between the New Pedestrian Bridge and Caldas, the Poldras de Chaves are one of the wonders of the city.

In a period prior to the current engineering in the construction of bridges, driven by the need to cross the Tâmega river, stones (Poldras or Stepping Stones) were strategically placed by flavienses to allow the passage, of people on foot, between banks, thus reducing long distances for some few meters.

The banks of the Tâmega River and the beautiful surroundings are an unexpected bonus."
