Kip Caravan - Giersbergen, Netherlands - Abandoned Dead Vehicles on Waymarking.com

On my quest for posting a waymark in each category, I struggled with this one. I asked my geocaching friends if they had encountered an abandoned vehicle in their geocaching adventures. Happy to receive some input from "de bizons", which included this caravan in the Loonse en Drunense Duinen. I parked the car at the Giersbergen parking area and walked to the area pointed out by my friend. Caravan was in "excellent" condition for this waymark category :-)

About Kip Caravans:
"In 1934 Jan Kip (1904-1980) founded a bodywork company. In 1947 he built his first camper van for his own use. The first Kip Caravans were produced in 1949. De Hoogeveener gave the 'caravans' names such as Kuiken and Krielkip. Sales of the self-built caravans went well, so that in 1962 the company moved from Coevorderderstraatweg to A.G. Bell Street in Hoogeveen. The company is still located in this larger building today."
