Vlak na de ingang van het park, achter de vijver met de levensboom, hangt een 1800-kilo zware klok, de Margaretha-Maria Alacoque, vernoemd naar de vormgeefster van de devotie aan het Heilig Hart. De oorspronkelijke klok was bedoeld voor de nabijgelegen, nog te bouwen Heilig Hartbasiliek. Reeds in 1936 verplaatste deze naar een tijdelijke toren bij de aanbouw van de basiliek. De basiliek werd door geldgebrek niet verder gebouwd dan het atrium en het voorportaal. Nadat in 1942 de inname van bronzen klokken begon op bevel van de Duitsers probeerde men de klok te behouden. Het mocht niet baten. Na de oorlog moest de klok, evenals de vier andere klokken van de nabijgelegen Cenakelkerk opnieuw gemaakt worden. Van 1949 tot 1970 werd de Margaretha-Maria Alacoque gebruikt ter aankondiging van rondleidingen door het park. De klok bleek nadien te zwaar van toon en zweeg vanaf 1976, totdat hij vanaf 2004 hier zijn plaats kreeg om te luiden ter begeleiding van een overledene bij de laatste gang.

Just after the entrance to the park, behind the pond with the Tree of Life, hangs a 1800-kilogram bell, the Margaretha-Maria Alacoque, named after the designer of the devotion to the Sacred Heart. The original bell was intended for the nearby Basilica of the Sacred Heart, yet to be built. In 1936 it was moved to a temporary tower during the construction of the basilica. Due to a lack of money, the basilica was not built beyond the atrium and the vestibule. After the collection of bronze bells started in 1942 by order of the Germans, they tried to keep the bell. It did not help. After the war, the bell, as well as the four other bells of the nearby Cenakel Church, had to be rebuilt. From 1949 to 1970, the Margaretha-Maria Alacoque was used to announce tours of the park. The bell turned out to be too heavy in tone and was silent from 1976, until it was given its place here from 2004 to ring to accompany a deceased at the last corridor.
